Hexagram 40
Deliverance
解 · Xiè · Çözülme
Upper trigram: Thunder (arousing, stirring) · Lower trigram: Water (deep, perilous, flowing)
Judgment
Thunder above water: the storm passes and the rain releases the tension. This hexagram speaks of a time when strain loosens and relief from distress arrives. Acting quickly helps the problem resolve; yet after it is resolved, leaving old patterns behind also matters. If something remains behind, closing it in time is good.
